O Holy Mother,
Let me be a fit instrument in your immaculate
and merciful hands for introducing
and increasing your glory to the maximum
in all the many strayed and indifferent souls,
and thus help extend as far as possible
the Blessed Kingdom of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.
For wherever you enter,
Lord, you have created me for goodness,
love, compassion and peace.
Help me to make good use of the gifts
you have given me to make a difference
where I am at this moment of my life.
You are the compassion of God in the world.
You never forget any of your people.
Give me the courage to be
the compassion of God for others.
O God, who by the Immaculate Conception
of the Blessed Virgin Mary,
did prepare a worthy dwelling place for Your Son,
we beseech You that,
as by the foreseen death of this, Your Son,
You did preserve Her from all stain,
so too You would permit us,
purified through Her intercession,
to come unto You.
Through the same Lord Jesus Christ,
Lord, I long to feel secure and at peace.
Let your love by my refuge.
Show me how to build my life
on the everlasting rock of your compassion.
Lord, sometimes I forget
that the work of love is my responsibility, too.
Help me to join with you
to pour out love wherever it is needed.
God Our Father we pray,
That through the intercession of St. Nicholas,
You will protect our children.
Keep them safe from harm,
And help them grow,
And become worthy of Your sight.
Give them strength,
To keep their Faith in You,
And to keep alive their joy,
In Your creation.
Through Jesus Christ Our Lord.
Amen.
Lord, teach me to open
my eyes, ears and heart
that I may rejoice in your Holy Spirit.
May your unconditional love
strengthen me to live in peace with all people.
The season of Advent gives us an opportunity to prepare ourselves for the coming of our savior in our lives. Unless we recognize our need for God we won't appreciate what advent season is all about.
O Lord, You are the temple of the Holy Spirit,
the city of the living God,
made joyous by abundant flowers,
the sacred flowers of Divine grace.
You are all-beautiful
and very close to God,
above the Cherubim
and higher than the Seraphim,
right near God Himself!
Almighty and everlasting God,
we thank you for your Servant Francis,
whom you called to preach the Gospel
to the peoples of Asia.
Raise up, we pray,
in this and every land
heralds and evangelists of your kingdom,
that your Church may proclaim
the unsearchable riches
of our Savior Jesus Christ;
Lord, give me the courage to disarm
my heart from the feelings of anger,
resentment and revenge that foster
so much pain and division in my life.
Instill within me a spirit of gratitude and joy
that I may become your instrument
of peace and reconciliation
wherever and whenever conflicts arise.
