This evening, I had a good chat with Sukh Deo as we drank yaqona together. Sukh Deo is Hindu, but his wife and children are Catholic. They live in an interior settlement, far from town. He is always pleased when a priest visits the family, and he sits respectfully and meditatively during the prayers.
O Blessed Archangel Gabriel,
we beg you,
to intercede for us
at the throne of Divine Mercy
in our present necessities,
that as you announced to Mary
the mystery of the Incarnation,
so through your prayers
and patronage in heaven
we may obtain the benefits of the same,
and sing the praise of God forever
Almighty and Eternal Father,
Giver of all Gifts,
show us Your mercy,
and grant, we ask You,
through the merits of Your faithful Servant,
Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini,
that all who invoke her intercession
may obtain what they desire
according to the good pleasure of Your Holy Will.
St. Frances Xavier Cabrini,
I had just came out of the church after celebrating Mass. An altar server came up to me and told me that one youth decided to leave home and wanted to speak with me. I saw a bag sitting in the guard house and I got nervous thinking, it must really be true. I knew who the kid was and so I asked for him.
Fortify me with the grace of Your Holy Spirit;
and give Your peace to my soul
that I may be free from all needless
anxiety, solicitude and worry.
Help me to desire always that
which is pleasing and acceptable to You
so that Your will may be my will.
Lord, hold our brave veterans in your loving hands.
Protect them as they protected us.
Bless them and their families
for the selfless acts they performed in our time of need.
I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
Amen.
All-powerful and ever-living God,
when Abraham left his native land
and departed from his people
You kept him safe through all his journeys.
Protect these soldiers.
Pope Francis has congratulated the Missionary Society of St. Columban on its 100th anniversary and extended his good wishes to all members of the Society. The Pope also imparted his Apostolic Blessing "as a pledge of peace and joy in the Lord Jesus."
The Missionary Sisters of Saint Columban were the idea of Lady Frances Moloney (later Mother M. Patrick Moloney) and Columban co-founder Father John Blowick.
St. Gerard, who, like the Savior,
loved children so tenderly
and by your prayers freed many from disease and even death,
listen to us who are pleading for our sick child.
We thank God for the great gift of our son/daughter
and ask Him to restore our child to health
if such be His holy will.
This favour, we beg of you
